In the contemporary international relations system, one of the strategic issues for states and societies is to identify and employ effective mechanisms to overcome adversaries and achieve lasting victory. This study examines the differences between religious and non-religious systems in their approach to achieving victory. The religious perspective views success as the result of adherence to divine teachings, spiritual virtues, and faith-based principles, whereas non-religious approaches emphasize instrumental rationality, material pragmatism, and the use of hard power to formulate strategies for dominance. This research, employing a descriptive–analytical method with a comparative approach, investigates the theoretical and practical foundations of both perspectives. The findings indicate that shared components across both systems include effort, awareness, patience, and risk-taking. However, the distinctive elements of the religious system comprise reliance on God, prayer, and commitment to divine leadership, while those of the non-religious system focus on unconditional domination, the use of any means to achieve victory, and a hegemonic methodology.
