Some researchers believe that the eternity of the hereafter is not compatible with God's mercy; Therefore, silence does not mean eternity but a long time. Against this point of view, the question is raised that "do all people have the ability to attract divine mercy for salvation?" "The lack of access to the human intellect to the necessary prerequisites to form an argument and prove all the details of the Resurrection", "the reliability of the Holy Quran in informing about these details" etc. show that it is necessary to examine this question from the perspective of the Holy Quran. An analytical study of the verses related to the repentance of hypocrites and the non-forgiveness of polytheists and unbelievers shows that despite the completeness of God's ability to forgive and the extent of God's mercy, hypocrites will be with the believers after repentance, unlike polytheists, and not part of them. Also, in verses, God absolutely declares that he does not forgive polytheists and disbelievers. The analysis of the reasons for these two issues indicates that these three groups do not have the necessary ability to receive God's mercy to change their nature.
