One of the important issues of theology is to know the essence of the Supreme Being, which is prohibited from thinking and reasoning in this field in religious texts. This ban has caused questions to be raised about the philosophy of prohibition and the prohibition of wisdom in God's nature. The problem of this research is the comparative study of the philosophy of prohibition of rationality in the nature of God in two rationalist and appearanceist approaches. The research method in this research is problem-oriented, theoretical and deals with the development of previous data. The information needed for this research has been collected through library study and especially in religious texts and intellectual analysis. The finding of this research is that epistemological (causalist) philosophies that indicate the incomprehensibility of God's nature and the limitation of reason in knowing God's nature, and non-epistemic (causalist) philosophies that indicate the creation of problems and unfortunate consequences and assigning prohibitions to non-specialists from thinking, have caused religious texts to prohibit thinking about the divine nature.
